Postdoc positions in honeybee behavior, genetics and breeding

The Institute of Apicultural Research, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences is currently seeking postdocs in the Department of Bee Resources and Genetic Breeding.

 

Duties:

We are looking for enthusiastic researchers that has the numerical and statistical skills, and an interest in the areas of honey bee behavior, genetics, and breeding, to join our successful team. The researcher is motivated to generate new ideas, to deliver results within several research projects and further to develop his/her scientific discipline. Depending on the availability of research projects, the main focus of his/her work may be oriented towards 1) behavior of honey bees, 2) honey bee genetic breeding, 3) phylogeography and evolution of honeybees, and 4) analyzing high throughput sequencing and other data.

 

Qualification:

Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in one of the following areas: entomology, population genetics, evolutionary biology, bioinformatics, and genetic breeding. Successful candidates should have excellent communication skill in Chinese or English, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Oversea working/studying experiences is preferred.
