Two Permanent Scientist Positions in Population Genetics and Bioinformatics/Biostatistics
The Bee Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences is currently seeking two scientists in the Department of Bee Resources and Genetic Breeding.
In the area of protection of genetic resources and breeding, the availability of genomic information is growing rapidly. We are looking for enthusiastic researchers that has the numerical and statistical skills, and an interest in the areas, to join our successful team. The researcher is motivated to generate new ideas, to deliver results within several research projects and further to develop his/her scientific discipline. Depending on the availability of research projects, the main focus of his/her work may be oriented towards 1) phylogeography and evolution of honeybees, 2) analyzing high throughput sequencing and other data, and 3) developing methodology in relation to genetic modeling and prediction.
Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in one of the following areas: population genetics, evolutionary biology, bioinformatics, and statistics. Successful candidates should have excellent communication skill in Chinese or English, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Oversea working/studying experiences is preferred.

The positions are permanent in Bee Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
