6.4.4. Add new field

To add a new field to the table:

  1. Open the table options text icon15.
  2. Select Add field. Note: Fields can only be added outside of the editing mode!!
  3. Name the new field you would like to add.
  4. Select the type of data which will populate it (see Table 3 to learn about data types).
  5. Click OK.
  6. A message might warn you that you are performing calculations outside of an editing session. Check the Don’t warn me again option.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. To manually add information to the new attribute field, go into the editing mode and type them into the new field.
