Observations and parameters

Studies should encompass a pre-treatment, a treatment and a post-treatment period. Monitoring begins with the pre-treatment 14 days before the first treatment is carried out. The post-treatment period should extend >14 days after the last treatment. These periods encompass the pupal development time and allow taking into account the mites that are enclosed in the cells. The post-treatment period might need being prolonged, depending on the mode of action and persistence of the product tested.
