6.5. Collecting greater wax moth larva cuticle
Per Samšiňáková et al. (1971). Samšiňáková et al. (1971) collected the cuticle from the greater wax moth on which they tested the action of enzymatic systems of Beauveria bassiana. The cuticle was collected two ways. In the first method, all of the accompanying biological material was removed from the cuticle (see section 6.5.1.). For the second method, the authors attempted to keep the cuticle as natural as possible, leaving the deteriorated cuticle with adjacent epidermis (6.5.2.).
