Dr. Elemir Simko obtained his DVM degree (1990) from the University of Belgrade and Doctor of Veterinary Science degree (1998) from the Ontario Veterinary College. He is a Diplomate of American College of Veterinary Pathologists. Since 1998 - he has been a faculty member in the Department of Veterinary Pathology at the WCVM involved in teaching - diagnostics and research. His research interest is in pathogenesis of infectious diseases of domestic animals. Recently - he established a Honey Bee Health research and teaching program at the WCVM.
