DATE/TIME:
Tuesday, March 14 / 9 am – 12.30 pm (CET)
LOCATION:
ONLINE
TOPICS:
The COLOSS Core Group B-RAP organizes a series of communication workshops payed by an extra allocation of COLOSS. It is part of the B-RAP communication initiative, which we started last year. This next online workshop is about storytelling and will be conducted by Susanne Schinko-Fischli, a specialist in the methods of applied improvisation (http://cocreative.ch/en/).
About the workshop:
Storytelling in research means packaging research projects in stories that touch the audience personally and create images in their minds. Research results and facts are particularly interesting when they have something to do with people’s lives. In this way, the results of one’s research are successfully remembered by the audience and are implemented in the long term.
In this workshop, you will work with personal stories, learn about story building and suspense as well as the importance of emotions and sensory details, and then dive into telling your own research. Through various interactive exercises in small groups, stories will be introduced and reflected upon. In this way, participants will learn approaches for translating their research into compelling oral narratives to increase the visibility and comprehensibility of their research activities.
Welcome!
