DESCRIPTION
We are delighted to announce that the Vespid and Virus Task Forces will hold a joint meeting on April 3–4, 2025, in Bern, Switzerland.
This meeting will provide an excellent opportunity for in-depth discussions between members of both task forces, fostering synergies for future collaborations.
Due to the limited capacity at our institute in Bern, we can accommodate 50 in-person participants. For those unable to attend physically, virtual participation will be available.
The two-day meeting will include presentations by task force members and discussions in joined and separated TF sessions focused on the respective agendas of each task force.
We welcome abstract submissions for presentations until February 28, 2025.

How to get there:
The workshops will be held at Agroscope-Liebefeld, Schwarzenburgstrasse 161 Room LB68, 3097, Liebefeld, Bern.
Getting to Bern:
With its central location in the northern foothills of the Swiss Alps, Bern is easily accessible by air, road, or rail. If your flight lands in Zürich, Geneva, or Basel, there is excellent rail service to Bern with the Swiss rail company SBB. In both Zürich and Geneva, an SBB station is located inside the airport, allowing direct transfer to trains to Bern.
Getting to IBH at Agroscope-Liebefeld:
- Bus 10 from Bern main station: Bus stop Bern Bahnhof (station square) Direction Schliern bei Köniz. Leave at Bus stop Liebefeld Park.
- S-Bahn 6 from Bern main station Platform 12 Direction Schwarzenburg. Leave at S-Bahn stop Liebefeld.
Accommodation:
There are not hotels at the Agrocope campus. However, the campus is easily accessed from hotels located at Bern city center.
LOCAL INFORMATION
The climate of Bern is moderately continental, we have cold winters. In April the average temperature is 9 °C. Please bring your warm clothes. The official currency is Swiss Franc (CHF). 1 CHF is around 1.06 Euro. Emergency numbers: Police, 117; Medical/Ambulance, 144.
