University of Warmia *Science Apiculture Conference*, April 5, Poland

DATE/TIME

Saturday, April 5

DESCRIPTION

The conference aims to showcase the directions taken by scientists for the development of beekeeping and fostering cooperation with the socio-economic sector. Therefore, it is intended for scientists, entrepreneurs associated with the beekeeping industry and beekeepers. Through this conference, we seek to emphasize that “beekeeping science” is a driving force for the development of beekeeping. At the same time, it requires ongoing dialogue with beekeepers and entrepreneurs in order to understand their problems. Additionally, joint initiatives and collaboration are essential to effectively address these issues. We hope that our conference will contribute to strengthening ties between the scientific community and the beekeeping industry, facilitating the establishment of new contacts that may lead to future projects. The main highlight of the conference will be a summary of the scientific achievements of Prof. Dr. Hab. Jerzy Wilde at the University of Warmia and Mazury, who retired last year. Professor Wilde has made a significant contribution to the development of beekeeping and, over the years, has inspired our research team to tackle complex and pressing scientific challenges related to “our bees”. As part of the conference, we would like to express our gratitude to Professor Wilde and acknowledge the profound impact of his work and scientific contributions.

Therefore, we kindly ask you to submit proposals for Panel I and scientific reports summarizing the results of your research on the development of beekeeping for Panel II by March 15, 2025.
