Dr. Shahzad Ali is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Wildlife and Ecology, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan.  He got M.Sc, M. Phil. and Ph.D. Degrees in Zoology from Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. Being a ZOOLOGIST, I have great interest to study animals especially their health-related issues. We have a small Honey bee training farm in our university. Where I have arranged multiple training for the rural community related to modern honey beekeeping. I have completed a project related to honey bee funded by Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. For the promotion of honey bee a project submitted to the World Bank. Moreover, his research work is related to Wildlife Epidemiology, Zoonotic Diseases, Microbial Diversity and Ecology, Genomics, Molecular Evolution. He is trained in modern molecular techniques from Friedrich Loeffler Institute, Jena, Germany. He is the first researcher in the country who fused in detailed on Zoonotic diseases in animals and human using serological, culture and molecular techniques. Moreover, his research work related to Glanders, Influenza virus and Aeromonas sp is published in international and national peer-reviewed journals. He is a certified Biosafety trainer from the American Society for Microbiology. Current his is working as Principal Investigator/Team Member in HEC, Pakistan and German Foreign Office funded projects. He presented his research work in international (Germany/USA) and national conferences as the poster and oral presentations. He has published multiple international and national research papers, abstracts and books.
