Academician Dr. Ivan Pavlovic was born on October 31, 1958 in Belgrade. Here he finished elementary school and the Eighth Belgrade Gymnasium.
He graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade (DVM) in 1984, received his master's degree (MVSc) in 1991 and doctoral dissertation (PhD) in 1994.
He passed the professional exam in 1992.
He licensed for veterinary professions since 2008.
He has the title of Scientific Adviser (since 2007)
Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences since 2019, and a member of the Academy of Veterinary Medicine since 2014.
Expert of: EFSA, WHO and FAO, the National Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.

During 1986 he worked at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Since 1987, he has been employed at the Scientific Veterinary Institute of Serbia, where he is the head of the Laboratory for Parasitology.

With papers, he participated in over 100 scientific and professional gatherings abroad and in our country. He is also the author of 3 posters and 11 agitators. It has an h-index 17 generated from the WoS / SCOPUS database.
He is the author of 2 diagnostic methods protected by the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia (certificates no. 2770 / 2017A-0098/2017 and 4202 / 2018A-0130/2018) and co-author of isolation of the new strain Porcine circovirus type 2 strain NIVS-8 capsid protein gene, complete cds; GeneBank HQ378163.1 (INSDC, USA).
He completed several trainings in the organization of the Department of Agriculture of the United States, Technical Assistance Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission; European Agency for Reconstruction; Meryal Parasitology Experts; European Vet Business forum; LGC Standards et al.
He was the lecturer and member of the commissions for doctorates, master's and specializations at the Faculty of Applied Ecology Futura, Faculty of Biology in Belgrade, Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade, Faculty of Medicine in Nis, Agricultural College of Vocational Studies in Sabac and Apitherapy courses. as at the faculties in Budapest, Brno, Munich, Vienna, Podgorica, Skopje, etc.
