Guntima Suwannapong, she is a professor in Biology, Department of Biology, Faculty of Sience, Burapha University, Thailand. She recieved her Ph.D. In Biological Sciences (Entomology) from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She did her postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Entomology, Michigan State University, United State of America in 2007. She got Fulbright scholarship as a visiting professor at Section of Ecology, Behavior and Evolution, Division of Biological Science, University of San Diego, California, United State of America. She was a visiting professor at Department of Zoologie, University of Wittenberg, Halle/Saale, Germany in 2014 and 2016, and a visting professor at Department of Entomology, University of Hamberg, Germany in 2017. Her research focuses on honey bee histopathology and diseases particular nosemosis in Thai honey bees.
