Mr. Wubishet Adugna is a graduate from Jimma College of Agriculture and Alemaya University and holds diploma in General Agriculture and Bsc in Agriculture (in agricultural extension). Mr. Wubishet spent his entire career in development and agri-business sector. He has gained valuable practical experience in rural development and agri-business during his period as Extension Supervisor, Ministry of Agriculture, Project officer, Winrock International Ethiopia ( On - farm Research project), Farm Africa Deputy Team Leader ( Participatory Forest management) and Managing Director, Apinec Agro-Industry plc, a company involved in production, processing and export of honey and beeswax with additional supplies bought from nearby farmers and follows the value chain approach and provides basic and advanced training ( Queen bee rearing) and service to area beekeepers through its multi-location apiaries from 1991 until today. Mr. Wubishet has been actively participated in the design, identification of production and processing equipments and materials, establishment of apiary, queen rearing ranch, honey and beeswax processing plant and hive workshop of Apinec. He also provided training for more than 1500 government and non-governmental apiculture experts and farmers in basic beekeeping, queen bee rearing honey quality and processing technologies in all parts of Ethiopia.
