Merissa Cullen is a final year PhD candidate in the Applied Proteomics Laboratory at Maynooth University. Her research area of interest is pollinating insect molecular biology. Currently, her research focuses on the impacts of herbicides and fungicides on bumblebee tissues, digestive tract microbiota, and survival. Her research is associated with Dept. of Agriculture funded PROTECTs (Protecting Terrestrial Ecosystems Through Sustainable Pesticide Use) project.
