I am a researcher at Centro de Investigação de Montanha (CIMO). Over the past 10 years, I have devoted most of my research to the study of honey bees genetics, with a focus on unraveling genetic patterns (initially with hundreds of markers and now with millions of them) and developing tools for assessing honey bee genetic integrity for conservation purposes. I finished my Ph.D. in Molecular and Environmental Biology with a specialty in Evolution, Biodiversity, and Ecology on June 1, 2018. My Ph.D. thesis was done between Portugal with Prof. Alice Pinto and Sweden with Mathew Webster.
