I'm a PhD candidate in entomology (3rd year) at Université Joseph Ki-Zerbo in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Since my Masters, I've been discovering the wonderful world of bees, and right now, for my doctoral research, I'm exploring issues linked to the threats (parasites, pesticides) facing these useful insects. Admittedly, I'm new to research, but I don't intend to stop here. My ambition is to continue in this field, and explore the multiple issues linked to the protection of these important pollinators, particularly all the factors that are included in colony collapse disorder (viruses, bacteria, fungi, pesticides, etc.) and establish their status in our country and in West Africa.
