I joined the monitoring of winter honeybee colony losses in 2016. The issue of bee decline is something I deeply care about. Bees are not just honey producers - they are essential pollinators that support global biodiversity and food security. Their decline signals broader environmental problems, from habitat loss and pesticide use to climate change. Understanding and mitigating the threats they face is crucial for maintaining ecological balance and sustainable agriculture. That’s why I’ve been actively involved in bee research and conservation efforts, striving to contribute to solutions that can help protect these vital pollinators.
