I’m a Research scientist working on the effects of global changes, especially contaminants, on various organisms, including bees.
I’m particularly investigating how stressors such as temperature changes, pollution, and pathogens interact and affect population persistence in the wild through various approaches, such as cross-sectional studies, experimental approaches in the lab. and under realistic field conditions and modelization.
Also, I’m trying to better understand how and why some individuals can cope with such stressors while others do survive (i.e., intraspecific variability).
To tackle these questions, I’m measuring various organisms’ traits across biological levels of organization, from the molecules (e.g., gene expression) to the cells (e.g., physiological responses such as oxidative stress and immune responses) and individuals (e.g., behavior, survival).
By gaining insight into intraspecific variability of responses to multiple stressors in the wild, I expect to better understand and predict global changes impacts on populations and ecosystems to improve management and conservation practices.
