Profile

My research interests focus on pathogenic fungi belonging to the phyla Microsporidia and Ascomycota. I am especially interested in parasitic fungi of the honey bee (Apis mellifera) and diseases caused by them: nosemosis (pathogens: Nosema apis Nosema ceranae) chalkbrood (pathogen: Ascosphaera apis) stonebrood (pathogens: Aspergillus flavus A. fumigatus A. niger ). I am also working on new therapeutic substances against fungi from the genera: Nosema and Candida.
