Our beloved colleague, mentor and dear friend Professor Ingemar Fries passed away quietly in his home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his internationally renowned research on bee pathogens and for his outgoing and lovable personality. We will miss his good spirit, his singing, violin playing and humorous conversations. Ingemar will be deeply missed by many.
