Getting to Vienna
With its central location in the heart of Europe, Vienna is easily accessible by air, road, or rail. If your flight lands at Vienna International Airport (VIE), the city offers efficient transport connections to the center. The City Airport Train (CAT), ÖBB Railjet, regional trains, and airport buses provide direct and efficient connections to Vienna’s main stations. If you arrive by train, Vienna is well connected through major hubs such as Wien Hauptbahnhof (central train station) and Wien Meidling, both offering excellent onward connections via the city’s public transport network.

Getting to AGES
Arrival by Public Transport
Take underground line U1 to Kagraner Platz.
From there, take bus line 24A and get off at Spargelfeldstraße (approx. 10 minutes travel time).
Enter the premises at Spargelfeldstraße 191.

Accommodation

There are no hotels located directly adjacent to AGES. Below you will find a selection of recommended nearby hotels, although they are often heavily booked due to their proximity to the UNO City area. In general, any hotel situated close to underground line U1 offers convenient access to the workshop venue, including hotels in the city center or near the central railway station.

Vienna has a temperate continental climate with warm summers and cold winters.
In April, average temperatures are around 10 °C, and weather conditions can vary, so we recommend bringing warm and weather‑appropriate clothing.

the lunch (Menu + 1 drink) will be provided by the organization.
The dinner expenses will be covered individually by each participant.

Thursday
The social dinner will take place at Melker Stiftskeller at 19:30.

The most convenient way to reach the restaurant is via underground line U1. Travel to Stephansplatz, from where the venue can be reached by a short walk, or you may continue one stop on underground line U3 to Herrengasse, which is located very close to the restaurant.
For those interested, we will take a short stroll through Vienna’s historic city center on the way to the restaurant, offering a small sightseeing opportunity.

Two hour guided tour through the city of vienna, with insights into Vienna as the fasted growing city in the EU (no participant fees)
Start: 15:00 at the steps of Karlskirche (Karlsplatz)
End: 17:00 at the Stephansdom (Stephansplatz)
