About | James grew up in Maryland, USA and studied Microbiology and also Germanic Studies at the University of Maryland. He then moved to Zurich, Switzerland to continue to study Microbiology at ETHZ where he did his masters thesis in fungal-fungal interactions utilizing microfluidics. He did his PhD to continue his interest in fungal interactions. Under ChemBioSys, he is investigating the role and regulation of secondary metabolites by basidiomycetes during inter-organismal interactions. Now, he is a Post-doc at the USDA Bee Research Laboratory studying the microbiota of honey bees. |
