About | Dr. Adam Ingrao is an Extension Specialist/Agricultural Entomologist at Michigan Food and Farming Systems (501c3). He holds a BS in Agriculture and Environmental Plant Science from California Polytechnic State University and a PhD in Entomology from Michigan State University. His research and professional backgrounds include expertise in apiculture, agricultural pest management, chemical ecology, insect community analysis, invertebrate taxonomy, and production horticulture. Dr. Ingrao’s academic honors include being selected as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and being named one the US Fruit and Vegetable Industry’s 40 leaders in agriculture under 40. He is the founder and lead instructor for MSUE’s Heroes to Hives program, the largest beekeeping education program for military veterans and their dependents in the US, and owns and operates Bee Wise Farms LLC with his partner Lacey Ingrao. |
