About | Daniele Alberoni holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Bologna, where he specialized in microbial ecology, focusing on the use of beneficial microorganisms for honey bee health to counteract bee pathogens, increase honeybee longevity, but also to improve nectar secretions through plant simulation. Throughout his career, he gained international experience through research stays in Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Argentina, and Malta, contributing to several European research projects. Since 2023, he has been a researcher at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences at the University of Bologna, actively participating in projects to improve agricultural sustainability, including the national project SWEET, which aims to increase nectar secretion performances. He has also worked as a beekeeper and consultant, and he teaches applied microbiology courses at the university level. His academic contributions include 24 papers in international journals. |
