Barry Foster

I am Chair person of the Science and Research focus group for Apiculture New Zealand, the position of which I have held for the past six years. Prior to that I held positions as President and Board member for the National Beekeepers Association of New Zealand lately named Apiculture new Zealand.

I have also been a Board Member and Approved Person (inspector) for the New Zealand AFB Management Agency since 2003.

I have been involved as Chair person for the research into bio-controls for the giant willow aphid in New Zealand also I have had some ten years engagement with the Trees for Bees Research Trust. I presented at the 2019 Apimondia congress on the Trees for Bees research project.

I have been a commercial beekeeper for thirty six years, previously owned a honey processing facility.
