About | I am currently in my third year of my PhD undertaking research into alternative methods to prevent AFB infections in New Zealand beehives. I am looking for and isolating novel bacteriophages that are able to infect P. larvae. I have found 30+ phages to date and will be extracting DNA for sequencing shortly. I will also be undertaking controlled larval infections in the near future. Besides my work on this bee project for my PhD I am the lab manger of four labs at my University and the ASM Young Ambassador for New Zealand. |
