Hidayet TUTUN

I’m a researcher in Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Turkey. My interests are in the emerging fields of animal diseases, especially in bees, diagnostics and synthetic immunology, which are at the intersection of epidemics, genomics, molecular biotechnology. Collaborating with Ankara University Honeybee Research Laboratory, our research group focus on developing new technologies for detection and controlling of honey bee diseases. Using biological, molecular, chemical and non-chemical approaches, we are developing new, cost-effective strategies for controlling parasitic mites, bacterial diseases, and emergent pests. Additional research focuses on the impact of pests and pathogens on longevity and colony survival.
