I am a post-doc at Newcastle University working on the BeeGuards project concentrating mainly on honey bee pathogens and pests. I do a mixture of modelling, live bee studies and molecular work. I am currently working on modelling varroa populations using a two species model. My PhD was also in honey bee health using whole genome sequencing to monitor and identify local outbreaks of European Foulbrood in the UK.
