| About | Joseph Cazier has a background in agriculture as an agronomist and researcher for a large biotechnology company. He is a technologist with degrees and work experience in information systems, an entrepreneur with startup experience, and a university administrator. Joseph is holds multiple data science certification including the INFORMS Certified Analytics Professional and from SAS Programing and Advanced Programming as well as the CISSP designation from ISC^2. Additionally he is the founder and Executive Director of the Center for Analytics Research and Education (CARE) at Appalachian State University where he uses big data and analytical techniques to help organizations and society. Joseph is also the Chief Analytics Officer for HiveTracks.com and a founding member of the Apimondia Working Group 15 (AWG 15) – Standardization of data on bees and beekeeping. Joseph writes a monthly column in Bee Culture magazine about the intersection of bees, data and technology. |
