Marius Blumenschein

I am interested in honey bees through my grandpa since childhood and I am still fascinated by this impressive species.

After school and some time overseas, I started my Bachelor studies in Agricultural Biology at the University of Hohenheim, finishing with the Bachelor thesis: “Field study on the Varroa treatment of brood-free honey bee colonies with lithium chloride” at the Apicultural State Institute. Now, I am in the consecutive master’s degree Agricultural Sciences, still working at the Apicultural State Institute, where I will do my Master thesis in a project about Varroa treatment in full-time beekeeping.
