Dr. Steve Pernal has been employed as a Research Scientist by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in Beaverlodge Alberta where he leads AAFC’s national honey bee research program. His work has included the detection and management of honey bee diseases the detection and mitigation of antibiotic and pesticide residues in hive products and the development of omic markers for selective breeding.
