About | I became interested in the world of bees at the age of 13, and just a year later I was already running my own apiary. I owe a great deal to these remarkable creatures. As a horticultural engineering student, the protection of honeybees has become a matter close to my heart, since in my environment I probably see both sides of the issue more clearly than most: the horticulturist must defend against pests, while the beekeeper is forced to watch helplessly as poisoned bees crawl in the grass, unable to return to their hives. My goal is to gain valuable experience and find solutions that benefit everyone – farmers, consumers, and bees alike. I study at Sapientia University, and in my second year I founded the university’s beekeeping club. This was a great success for me, and ever since I have been working to show my fellow students the many wonders of the world of bees.
I have read a great deal about bees, but I can honestly say I am still far from knowing everything about them. However, I am certain that through learning, research, and hands-on experience I can get closer and closer to understanding them – and perhaps we, as humans, can also come closer to nature itself. |
