First, I am trained to do research in the social sciences. I hope it’s acceptable to have a COLOSS account. I’m a hobbiest beekeeper in Southeastern, PA. I’m interested in honey bee research in general and citizen science in particular. I would like to participate in a citizen science sometime in the future. follow COLOSS as much as possible and hope to participate in Citizen Science studies, Penn State University extension research projects and projects of my own. Recently, I completed a very small Small Hive Beetle project assessing functionality of two “homegrown” methods, each designed to minimize Small Hive Beetle reproductive success. Though it had many limitations it was informative.
