Fiona Mumoki

Currently, my research is focused on trying to understand the signals of communication used by reproductively dominant social insects. My goal is to understand what signals the dominant individuals produce, and also, the biosynthesis of the identified chemical compounds.

In addition, I am very interested in understanding other factors that contribute to the decline of pollinators around the world including the effects of pests, diseases, nutrition, stress and insecticides.
