The researcher has received complete training in the area of ​​bee health. As a doctoral thesis, her work was oriented towards the evaluation of natural substances and biotechnical methods for the alternative control of the parasitosis caused by Varroa destructor. Among the alternatives evaluated, organic acids, propolis, vegetable extracts, and essential oils were tested, both in the laboratory and in the field conditions, adding extensive experience in bioassays development and beekeeping management. During her post-doctorate, she carried out the development of techniques and procedures for the characterization and evaluation of the immune system of bees. Currently, as a CONICET researcher, he works at the Center for Research in Social Bees, National University of Mar del Plata, developing his personal project: Immunocompetence, immunostimulation, and dietary supplementation with extracts of botanical origin as an alternative for natural control of diseases of the bee Apis mellifera.
