My research focuses on: First, linking honey bees colonies’ fitness-relevant performance and health over time to sensor-based data, to test if colonies’ performance can be reflected on sensors read. Second, I am trying to understand why nosema ceranae is more successful than nosema apis, how the host reacts when infected with nosema ceranae compare to nosema apis, and lastly, how efficient chitinization and encapsulation suppress nosema.
