Adriana Díaz Triana

I am a chemical engineer, with a Masters and a Doctoral degree in environmental engineering. I work since more than 20 years on environmental and sustainability themes, especially on life cycle assessments and ecodesign. I have honeybees in a small apiary.
I am also quite involved in applied research concerning hyperthermia as part of chemical-free strategies for dealing with the Varroa mites, and in way to expand future-oriented, resilient beekeeping practices in light of the multiple stressors affecting the honeybees. I am also involved in a project dealing with the invasive species Vespa velutina (Asian Hornet), focusing on capacity building and training of civil defense, beekeepers and firefighters to prepare for the challenge, in Austria, the Czech Republick and Slovak Republic.
