My current interests are in molecular genetics and genomics. Formerly involved in genetic mapping (human, chicken) and de novo sequencing of genomes (chicken, common duck, quail, guinea fowl, Muskovy duck, black bee) and currently focussing on re-sequencing bee populations for population genetics studies and detection of genetic markers for resistance to varroa.
