I am a fixed-term researcher at the Department of Agrigultural Sciences – University of Naples Federico II (Italy), where my research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying honey bee health. My work investigates the interactions among Varroa destructor, Deformed Wing Virus (DWV), and the honey bee immune system, with particular emphasis on Varroa salivary effectors, DWV pathogenesis, and host immune dysregulation. My goal is to contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable strategies for protecting honey bees from their major stressors.
