About

I am molecular virologist working on host-virus interactions in insects (in particular honey bees) and plants. This includes virus diversity and evolution; effects of viruses on host physiology and development; regulation of antiviral RNAi. Graduate of Moscow State University – I have been working in the UK for 20 years in Scottish Crop Research Institute – HRI and University of Warwick. More recently I have moved my research to the USDA-ARS Bee Research Lab in Beltsville – USA.
