| About | Helena Proková is a beekeeper and field-based practitioner with extensive experience in the identification, monitoring, and scientific communication of the invasive Asian hornet, Vespa velutina nigrithorax. For more than five years, she has been engaged in activities related to early detection, participatory monitoring, and public awareness concerning the spread of this species in Central Europe. Her work combines practical field experience with communication and coordination efforts aimed at improving surveillance and response capacity among beekeepers, citizens, local authorities, and researchers.
