• • Influence of physiologically active substances (spermidine and sodium butirate) on survival and longevity of honey bees. Mechanism of their action: epigenetic changes, oxidative stres, autophagy,

• • Assesment of honey bee health as a key component of biodiversity,

• • Biochemical and molecular mechanism of stress response in honey bees,

• • Mechanisms od antioxidant protection and redox homeostasis,

• • Epigenetic changes in honey bees.

Techniques:

• • Experience in rearing insects in laboratory conditions and performing acute and chronic oral tests in bees for evaluating influence of pesticides or other compounds of interest,

• • Wide ranges of molecular/biochemical techniques: spectrophotometric assays, qPCR, Western blot, various chromatography methods, DNA microarrays, recombinant DNA techniques.
