Veterinarian and independent researcher with more than 30 years of professional experience in honey bee health and diseases. My research interests focus on honey bee physiology, immune homeostasis, nutrition, stress resilience, and the mechanisms underlying colony health and overwintering survival. My current work particularly explores the role of trehalose homeostasis and intracellular water organization in hemocyte function, immune resilience, and colony health.
