Soraia Falcão is a assistant researcher in the Centro de Investigação de Montanha (CIMO) of Polythecnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal. Her main research topics are centered in beekeeping technology and bee products, more specifically, characterization and classification of bee products, physico-chemical characterization, nutritional properties, bioactive properties, quality assessment, botanical discrimination, phenolic compounds characterization, volatile compounds, diversification and innovation in the production of bee products for the beekeeping sector, valorization of endogenous such as honeydew honey from Quercus pyrenaica, artificial feeding for bees: quality tracking, digestibility and impact on colonies, chemical ecology of the honey, characterization of the semiochemicals emitted by bees and its manipulation to enhance colony quality and productivity, honeybee pheromones, Vespa velutina pheromones.
