| About | Professor Yahya A. Al Naggar is a Professor of Entomology in the Zoology Department, Faculty of Science, Tanta University, Egypt. He previously held research and academic positions at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, as an Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and at King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia. His research focuses on insect ecotoxicology, pollinator health, environmental pollution, and insect physiology. His work aims to identify and understand the multiple stressors contributing to pollinator decline and colony losses, including pesticides, heavy metals, microplastics, pathogens, nutritional stress, and climate change. Through laboratory and field studies, he investigates how these stressors, individually and in combination, affect honey bee behavior, physiology, immunity, reproduction, gut microbiota, and colony performance. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals and actively serves the scientific community as an editor and reviewer for several high-impact journals in entomology, ecotoxicology, environmental sciences, and pollinator biology. His research aims to provide science-based evidence that supports sustainable agriculture, biodiversity conservation, and global food security. |
